Tips and uses of Oregano oil:

Dilution

This essential oil must be used with caution on the skin, especially if you are extra sensitive.

Due to the high content of antiseptics, Oregano is  especially suitable for foot and nail products.

Oregano oil also has an astringent effect and is rich in antioxidants, which counteract the damage of free radicals on the skin.

Use 0.5 - 1%  which corresponds to approx. 10-20 drops per. 100 ml product.

In diffuser or oil lamp:

Perfect in the diffuser or oil lamp, especially for colds and respiratory problems.

Skin care:

For foot warts, mix 1-2 drops of oregano oil with 3-6 drops of fractionated (liquid) coconut oil. The wart is applied 1-2 drops of the mixture daily. This treatment can also be tried on nail fungus.

As with any new product, always perform a patch test before first use.

For plants / in the garden:

Oregano fights aphids and is a great fighter for diseases that can affect plants.

10-15 dr in 1 dl water plus one dr dishwashing liquid is poured into a spray bottle, shaken well and sprayed on leaves and stems, the soil and around the plant. Avoid spraying on the freshest and most fragile shoots and when the sun is on the plant.

General precautions when using essential oils:

Remember that all essential oils should be used with great care and respect. These drops are very potent and should be kept out of the reach of children. Pregnant women should avoid all essential oils and people with epilepsy, asthma and high blood pressure should check specifically regarding the individual oils.

Never use essential oils internally. There are some exceptions for some of the oils as a flavoring, but then only in microscopic amounts mixed with liquid or the like. In fact, drinking only a few milliliters of essential oil can, in the worst case, be fatal.

Always read a little before you start experimenting with essential oils and remember to check that they are labeled 100% pure essential oils.
